Dripping Springs ISD Educational Foundation

Our Mission Statement

We inspire and equip students to be lifelong learners and positive contributors to the world.

The Educational Foundation of the Dripping Springs Independent School District was established in 1992 to provide scholarships to students and grants to teachers within the district. Scholarships are presented to students based on exemplary leadership. The students submit an essay and participate in an interview process to apply for these leadership awards. Innovative Teaching Grants are provided to teachers each year. Each grant request is reviewed by the committee and is selected based on the innovative use of the funds, how well the grant conforms to the district/campus improvement plan and to a lesser extent, how many students can potentially be affected.

Each year the foundation hosts its Academic Awards Banquet. In addition to the scholarships and teaching grants, the foundation recognizes the top five percent of the freshmen, sophomore and junior classes and the top ten percent of the senior class. A highlight of the banquet is the recognition of the honored seniors' "most influential" teacher who are commended for their excellence in teaching.
