EMPLOYMENT AND APPLICATION INFORMATION

Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Dripping Springs Independent School District. IF YOU SUBMITTED A HARD COPY APPLICATION PRIOR TO MARCH 2008, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU RESUBMIT A NEW ONLINE APPLICATION.

All applications (other than substitute aide or substitute teaching positions) should be submitted through our online application system located on this website.  You may apply for administrative, certified, or paraprofessional/support positions.  Information regarding substituting is available at the link above.

Please be aware that Dripping Springs ISD follows site-based hiring practices; therefore, the hiring decisions are made by campus principals and department heads along with their hiring committees rather than through the Human Resources office. Please DO NOT contact the campuses regarding employment.

To be considered as an applicant, all certifications, licensures and NCLB criteria (if applicable) MUST be met. Please DO NOT include documentation with your application other than those listed below. CDs, professional development certificates, pamphlets, photos, etc. will not be accepted. The on-line application will ask for the following only:

  • Certifications or Licenses
  • Cover Letter and Resume
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Transcripts

We strongly recommend your supporting documentation be scanned and attached electronically with your application for a complete packet. Documents sent separately will cause a delay in the screening process through HR and the release of your application to the campus hiring officials.

All scanned documents MUST be in a .pdf, .rtf, .htm, or .txt format. (The .pdf and .rtf formats take up the MOST memory). The software will NOT accept a Word document. Instructions are included at the "Supporting Documents" page for how to format your documents in any of the acceptable methods.

Important Notes:  

  • Completed applications will be kept active for one year.
  • Please be sure all contact data is accurate. An automated email will be sent to the email address you provide confirming the completion of your online application; therefore, please do not contact HR or the campuses for additional confirmation. If you have a SPAMBLOCKER, please allow it to receive email from the district. We cannot request access ourselves.
  • All postings are available until filled. Once a hire is made, the posting will be removed.
  • Any supporting documentation sent separately will be scanned by Human Responses and then disposed of. DO NOT send originals, please. Those are only required at the time of employment. Again, emailing, faxing or mailing these documents is discouraged.
