Oct 24, 2005 at 3 PM for a planned update.
Approximately 2 hours duration.
SSL Update: At approximately 11AM on Oct 5, we installed a "certificate" to require that
users have a secure connection to the web server. This required us to change the web
address for Family Access, Employee Access, and Educator Access.
You will receive a page saying "This page must be viewed over a secure connection"
The page will tell you how to do that.... but in brief, you need to change the address from
http://skyweb.dripping-.....
to
https://skyweb.dripping-.....
Once you make that change, you can bookmark the new address if you like....
This security update will help protect your connection to our web server.
General Information about access to Skyward Web Services
While we strive for 100% uptime and access, by the very nature of the Internet and technology, there may be times that Skyward Web Services is unavailable.
DSISD uses Region 13 Education Service Center as its Internet Service Provider. Should there be problems with that connection, DSISD web sites and the Skwyard Services pages will be down as well.
The DSISD web pages are housed on a separate server than the Skyward Web Services. Should there be a problem with the Skyward web server, you will see DSISD web pages (including this one) but not the Skyward pages.
If you try to access Skyward Web Services while the server is down, you will either get a "Page Not Found" error or a "WebSpeed" error. Once the server is restored, you may need to click the "Refresh" or "Reload" button on your browser to view the web pages.
