4/2/2009 Congratulations to Junior Jisele Green, who has been chosen to play in the 2nd annual Dennis Johnson Memorial High School Basketball All Star Game. Standout players from across the central Texas area will play against each other in a North vs. South format in the game honoring the late NBA legend and
Austin Toros head coach. The game is Saturday, April 4th @ 5:00 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center. Tickets are $9.00 through today and can be purchased by calling 236-8333 or visiting austintoros.com, your ticket will also get you in to the Austin Toros game that evening which begins at 7:30.

2/23/2009 The Lady Tiger Basketball team completed their 2008-2009 season in the bi-district round losing to Lake Travis 49-40. The Lady Tigers ended the year with a record of 22-12 and 9-3 in district, good enough for a 2nd place finish. They also became the 24th girls' basketball team in Dripping Springs HS history to make the playoffs, adding their names to the long tradition of girls' basketball teams here. Highlights of the season include finishing 4th in a highly competitive 16 team field at the Northeast ISD Tournament over Thanksgiving, as well as winning the Austin Bowie Tournament.
Individuals who excelled in competition this year would include Senior Sarah Bullock, who was named All Tournament at the Northeast ISD Tournament as well as second team all-district. Makenzi Franks, who set a new record for the number of charges taken in a season (10) as well as second team all-district. Seniors Hillary Hogg, Brooke Shingleton and Junior Jenna Beyer were all named honorable mention. Sophomore Bailey Johnson was a unanimous first team all-district selection and Junior Jisele Green was named first team all-district as well as setting a new school record for 3 pointers made in a season-72.
