5/11/09 The Lady Tiger Softball team won their 5th consecutive Bi-District Championship with a 2-0 victory over Hutto Friday night! Brianne Baley won her 15th game of the year striking out 7 on the night. Kristen Szkotak and Katie Wood went 2 for 3 at the plate.
The Lady Tigers will face Seguin in the Area Championship series:
Thursday May 14th @ Seguin High School at 7pm
Friday May 15th @ Dripping Springs at 7pm
"If necessary" Saturday May 16th @ Canyon Lake High School at 2pm

4/27/2009 The Lady Tiger softball team finished their district play on Friday undefeated with a 10-0 victory over Travis. Katie Wood picked up her 13th win of the season. Cassandra Sloan had two triples to lead the Lady Tigers. On Saturday night, the Lady Tigers welcomed the La Grange Lady Leopards in a warm up game for play offs. This pitted two top five teams in 3A and 4A. Brianne Baley picked up her 14th win of the season. After falling behind 1-0, Jillian Keeper led off the 6th inning with a single. Cassandra Sloan sacrificed Jill's courtesy runner, Elizabeth Bounds ("EBo") to second base
with a great bunt. An over throw to first base allowed EBo to move to third and Sloan to second. Kristen Szkotak hit a ground ball back to the pitcher and Bounds broke for the plate on the throw, with a perfect slide - EBo was safe by a whisker. Aspen Herron then drove in Sloan with a sacrifice fly to right field. The Lady Tigers are now 27-5 on the season and finshed 14-0 in district.
The J.V. Lady Tigers finished their season with a 22-2-1 record and a 9-0-1 record in District. They were also District Champions!!!!
4/22/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team clinched the 26AAAA District Championship last night with a 18-0 victory over Lanier. Brianne Baley won her 13th game of the year while pitching a one-hitter. The Lady Tigers exploded for 20 hits led by Kristen Szkotak who went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Cassie
Carroll went 4 for 4 with a double and a triple and 2 RBI's. Aspen Herron was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI's. Katie Wood was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 triples and 2 RBI's. Brianne Baley went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple and 2 RBI's. Briana Miles went 2 for 2 with a triple and 2 RBI's. The Lady Tigers close out their district schedule Friday night at home against Travis. Seniors
Katie Wood, Katie Breese, Katie Denton, and Kendall Altizer will be honored at Senior night. The Lady Tigers are now 25-5 overall and 13-0 in district play. On Saturday night, La Grange will play the Lady Tigers at home in a warm-up game for playoffs at 7pm.
4/21/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team ran their record to 24-5 aaoverall and 12-0 in District with a 14-0 victory over McCallum last night. Katie Wood won her 12th game in the circle last night and led the Lady Tigers
offensively going 2 for 3 with a triple and 4 RBI's. Brianne Baley went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's. Aspen Herron also had a triple and an RBI. The Lady Tigers travel to Noack tonight to face the The Lady Vikings of Lanier. Senior night will be Friday when we host Travis.
The J.V. remained undefeated in district with a 12-1 victory over McCallum.
4/6/2009 The Lady Tigers beat Crockett 10-0 in 5 innings on Friday night. Katie Wood and Brianne Baley combined for a 1 hitter. Cassie Carroll went 2 for 2, Cassandra Sloan, Jill Keeper, and Wood all went 2 for 3.The Lady Tigers are now 20-5 overall and 8-0 in District. We will play Reagan on
Tuesday.
The J.V. beat Bowie's J.V. 6-2 on Friday.The J.V. Tigers are 13-2 on the year.

3/24/2009 THE LADY TIGER SOFTBALL TEAM RAN THEIR RECORD TO 16-5 (4-0 IN DISTRICT) WITH A PAIR OF WINS OVER SPRING BREAK. IN THE FIRST GAME BRIANNE BALEY PITCHED A PERFECT GAME IN ROUTE TO A 15-0 VICTORY OVER LBJ. ASPEN HERRON AND TINA CISNEROS EACH HOMERED IN THE GAME. IN THE SECOND GAME KATIE WOOD AND BALEY COMBINED FOR A 1 HITTER TO BEAT
EASTSIDE MEMORIAL 10-0. TINA CISNEROS HIT HER SECOND HOMERUN IN AS MANY NIGHTS TO LEAD THE LADY TIGERS TO VICTORY. THE LADY TIGERS WILL FACE MC CALLUM ON TUESDAY NIGHT AT NOACK FIELDS.

3/11/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball Team ran their district record to 2-0 and their overall record to 14-5 with a 21-0 win over Reagan last night. Katie Wood pitched 3 no-hit innings as the game was halted after 3 because of run-rule. Briana Miles and Aspen Herron both had Home Runs. The Lady Tigers will take on L.B.J. on Friday at 6pm at Noack #3.
3/9/2009 The Lady Tiger Varsity softball team won the A&M Consolidated Round Robin Classic this weekend. The Lady Tigers beat Waller 4-1 on Thursday, beat Euless Trinity 9-0, and A&M Consolidated 4-3 in extra innings on Friday, and beat Henderson 6-1, and lost to Westwood 7-6 on Saturday. Our 4-1 record was tied with A&M Consolidated and Westwood but
we allowed the fewest runs which gave us the Championship. The Lady Tigers are now 13-5 on the year and will host Reagan on Tuesday night at 6pm. Reagan has no J.V. so it will be Varsity only.
3/3/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team traveled to Garrison Park to open district play against Crockett.In the 9-5 victory Brianne Baley pitched 3 perfect innings of relief to pick up the win. Cassie Carroll had her 2nd Home Run of the year and added a double and a single. Aspen Herron added a triple. The Lady Tigers are 9-4 overall and 1-0 in District. We travel to College
Station this weekend to play in the A&M Consolidated Classic. The teams we will play are A&M Consolidated, Amarillo,, Henderson, Euliss Trinity, and Westwood.
3/1/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team defended their championship this weekend in the 3rd Annual Brittany Tuck Memorial Softball Tornament.

2/25/2009 The Lady TigerSoftball team ran their record to 4-3 with a 15-0 win over Lytle last night. Brianne Baley pitched 3 scoreless innings for the win and Katie Wood closed the game out. Kristen Szkotak, Briana Miles and Jillian Keeper each had 2 doubles. Keeper and Baley had 3 RBI's each. The Lady Tigers host the Brittany Tuck Memorial Tournament Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The J.V. Lady Tigers are 2-0 with a 10-1 victory over Lytle as well.
2/23/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team played in the Smithson Valley Tournament over the weekend. All six teams finished in the State rankings last year which made it VERY competitive. Smithson Valley jumped on the Lady Tigers in the first game 10-0. In the second game, Converse Judson rallied in the bottom of the 7th for a 2-1 victory. The Lady Tigers rallied in the third game and crushed San Antonio Taft 9-0. On Saturday, McKinney North rallied to beat the Lady Tigers 7-5. In the last game, the Lady Tigers beat RR Stoney Point 9-7 to finish the tournament. All in all, it
was a good tournament for the Lady Tigers and were about 3 or 4 plays away from a 4-1 record.
2/19/2009 The Lady Tiger Softball team opened the year with a 1-0 victory last night over Kerrville Tivy. Brianne Baley and Katie Wood combined their pitching efforts for a 3 hit shutout.Scoreless in the bottom of the 7th inning,Briana Miles knocked in Tina Cisneros with the game winning R.B.I. Wood and Cisneros both went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple. Kristen Szkotak had several great plays at shortstop
and Sarah Wittenburg gunned down two Antlers at the plate from right field. The Lady Tigers will travel to Smithson Valley this weekend for a tournament.
The Junior Varsity Lady Tiger Softball team won their season opener last night defeating Kerrville Tivy 10-4. Alyssa Collier, Shelby Wilkerson, Makenzie Jennings, and Demi Tatsch all had 2 hits apiece.

Lady Tiger Varsity Softball defeated Westlake in dramatic fashion last night 1-0.
With two outs in the bottom of the 7th Briana Miles drove in Morgan Sumner with a double. Paige Sandahl pitched a 1 hitter and struck out 17. Katie Wood also had a double.
The Lady Tigers are now 9-2 and will play tomorrow, Friday and Saturday in the Bayfront Bash in Corpus Christi.
Varsity 4/4
The Lady Tiger Varsity Softball team traveled to Connally Friday night and defeated the Lady Cougars 10-2.
Paige Sandahl had 14 strikeouts and gave up 3 hits on the night.
Aspen Herron had a triple, Brianne Baley, Katie Wood, and Jordan Foster all had doubles to lead the Lady Tigers at the plate.
The Lady Tigers are 21-3 overall, 10-0 in district and play at home Tuesday night against Hendrickson.

The Lady Tiger softball team traveled to Lake Travis Tuesday night and defeated the Lady Cavs 4-1.
Paige Sandahl had 17 strikeouts to earn her 23rd victory of the season.
Kristen Szkotak went 3 for 4 at the plate with an R.B.I.
Aspen Herron had a triple, and Brianne Baley hit a 2 run Home Run in the seventh inning to secure the victory.
The Lady Tigers are 23-4 overall, 12-1 in district.

Friday, 4/18, on a very emotional night in which we honored Srs. Paige Sandahl, Megan Charlton, Brittany Connors, Jordan Foster, and our "Angel in the infield" Ashley Medlin, the Lady Tigers got off to a slow start, but rallied to defeat Marble Falls 4-3 in 10 innings to clinch the outright 25AAAA District Championship.
Katie Wood drove in Brittany Connors to win it in the bottom of the 10th.
Connors went 3 for 5 and scored 3 runs.
Paige Sandahl had 2 R.B.I.s and struck out 17.

Friday Katie Wood went 4 for 4 at the plate to lead the 18 hit attack. Aspen Herron, Paige Sandahl, and Jordan Foster each went 3 for 4. Brianne Baley hit a 2 run Home Run and went 2 for 4.
Sandahl struck out 9.
Saturday, trailing 1-0 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning, Katie Wood singled, Briana Miles singled to right field moving Morgan Sumner(pinch runner for Wood) to 3rd. Pinch hitter Cassie Carroll hit a flare over the 2nd baseman's head which she mis-played allowing both Sumner and Miles to score for the dramatic victory!!!!!

The Lady Tiger softball team opened the best of three Region IV Quarterfinal series last night with a 4-0 victory over Alamo Heights.
Paige Sandahl pitched a one-hitter and struck out 8.
Kristen Szkotak scored the game's 1st run on an RBI single by Aspen Herron.
Jordan Foster went 2 for 3 with a triple.
Briana Miles went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.
Game two is tonight at 7pm at Canyon Lake High School.
Hope to see everyone there tonight....it is only a 35 minute drive.

After a 4-0 victory in game 1 on Thursday, the Lady Tiger Softball team clawed their way to a 3-1 victory Friday night over 7th ranked Alamo Heights.
Paige Sandahl scattered 5 hits and had great defensive plays behind her to hold A.H. to 1 run.
Brittany Connors went 2 for 3 and Brianne Baley hit a solo homerun to ensure the victory.
The Lady Tigers are now 29-4 and will advance to the AAAA Region IV Semifinal series against Kingsville King High School.

Top of the fifth inning - 2 outs / score 0-0 / LadyTiger hitless - Paige Sandahl has a perfect game going when she is struck in the face by a line drive. Paige did not want to come out even with a large knot swelling on her cheek. Katie Wood came in and struck out the pitcher for Kingsville to close the inning.
Sixth inning - 1 out - Kingsville get's their first runner to third base as Paige was pronounced good to go. She re-entered and proceeded to strike out the next two Lady Brahamas to get out of the inning. However, we remained hitless through the bottom of the 6th.
Seventh inning - Kingsville went 3 up 3 down. Then Brianne Baley leads off with a double to left center breaking the no-hitter. Brittany Connors singled giving us runners on 1st and 3rd. With the count 1 and 1 Paige Sandahl hit a walk-off 3 RUN HOMER TO WIN THE GAME AND SERIES!!!!!
The Lady Tigers ran their record to 31-4 and will face 25 AAAA rival Vista Ridge in the Regional Finals at Texas State in a best of 3 series Thurs., Fri., & Sat. .....details below

Briana Miles hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.
Tina Cisneros made a great play at third base on a sharply hit ground ball to end the Vista Ridge rally in the bottom of the seventh.
We can't thank the Dripping fans nearly enough...70% of the fans in the overflow crowd were wearing maroon!!!

The LADY TIGER SOFTBALL team DEFEATED VISTA RIDGE 4-2 on Friday night to advance to the State Softball Tournament for the second time in three years.
The victory was a total team effort. Vista Ridge hit a solo home run in the top of the first, but the Lady Tigers' Brianne Baley hit a 2 run bomb in the bottom of the first to give the Lady Tigers a lead they would never relinquish. Baley knocked in two more runs in the 4th inning to put Dripping Springs up 4-1. The Rangers fought back in the 7th inning to push a run across, and
with the bases loaded 2nd baseman Megan Charlton made a diving catch at the wall along the first base line to secure the win and trip to Austin for the coveted State Championship!! Left fielder Brittany Connors and pitcher Paige Sandahl each went 2 for 4 and a double each. Baley had a fantastic night at the plate getting 3 hits in 4 plate appearances with a Home Run and all 4 RBI's.
The Lady Tigers ran their record to 33-4 and will face the Lady Bulldogs of Nederland Friday at 2pm at McCombs field on the campus of The University of Texas. We need everyone to make the short trip to Austin and be even LOUDER than you were at the Vista Ridge series!!!! The AAAA State Championship game is at 5pm on Saturday.
