The goal of the DSISD Child Nutrition Department is to provide quality meals and friendly service to your child, our customer. We have planned meals that follow the Dietary Guidelines. The Child Nutrition Director is Gracy Capelo, R. D. She can be contacted at (512) 858-3048.
If you have had a decrease
in income due to layoffs or etc., you may be qualified for Free or Reduced
Price Meals. Applications are available at all school offices or the Business
Office. Students that are eligible for free meals receive a free breakfast
and lunch. The cost of a reduced price breakfast is 30 cents and for a reduced
lunch it is 40 cents. The information is confidential. Students will keep
their same account number so they are not identified when they come through
the cafeteria line.
