to Dripping Springs
Dripping Springs
is located on U.S. 290, approximately 13 miles west of the intersection of
US 290 and Texas Highway 71 at the "Y" in Oak Hill, which is part
of South Austin. Here's a sketch that will help
you find us.
- If you are
traveling west through Austin on the US 290/Texas 71 freeway, as you come
to the end of the freeway, you will pass William Cannon
Drive. Continue west and at the intersection, stay to the left on US 290
and travel for approximately 13 miles.
- Traveling
north from Wimberley on Ranch Road 12, you will come to the intersection
of R.R. 150 on the right. Continue north to the intersection of RR12 and
US 290.
- Traveling
north/west on R.R. 150 from Kyle or Driftwood, you will come to the intersection
of R.R. 150 and R.R. 12. Turn right at the cemetery and proceed north to
the intersection of R.R.12 and US.290.
- Traveling
east on U.S. 290 from Johnson City, travel approximately 24 miles. As you
enter Dripping Springs, you will see the Service Center on the left, DS
High School on the right, DS Middle School on the left, and at the second
light from this direction, Walnut Springs Elementary School is on the left (Sportsplex
Drive). The DS Central Office will be at the next left after the light (Loop
64/Mercer Street), and you may turn left at the next light (the intersection of R.R.12
and U.S. 290) and travel to DS Elementary School.
- If you are
traveling to Dripping Springs from the north (Lake Travis area), off Texas
Highway 71, you will turn west at Hamilton Pool Road. Travel to the intersection
of Hamilton Pool Road and R.R.12 (Texaco Station on Corner). Turn left on R.R.12 and proceed approximately
8 miles south to the intersection of R.R. 12 and U.S. 290. As you enter
the area, Dripping Spring Elementary School will be on the left of R.R.12 approximately 5 miles south of the RR12/Hamilton Pool intersection.
