Week of 9/2/08

Welcome back to school!!

I hope everyone had a great first week back.  It was a long week, but at least it ended with a three day weekend

day weekend.  We had a super first week.  We learned all about rules, routines, procedures, expecta

tions.  They really did well and I am excited about this new group of second graders.

I hope you saw the Bee Book in their backpack that they should have brought home over the weekend.  Th

This should come back to school with them daily.  Please check and sign their Tuesday folder every week

week and look for papers and communication from myself, the school, PTA, etc.

We will still be focusing on rules, routines, and procedures, but we are also starting some of our beginnin

inning of the school year units.  I will begin some formal assessments the week of the 8th and will

share that information with you in October.

Important upcoming dates are :  Sep. 16  Parent Orientation night and Oct. 13 Parent/Teacher
