September 2nd -12th Greetings!
We have been a busy bunch of Burns' Bears! Following are the things we are working on in each subject area for the next few weeks: Language arts: Identifying capital and lower case letters and their sounds. Writing our names with the first letter capitalized only!! Math: Sorting by attributes-shapes, color, size; using the terms "alike" and "different" Health/Science: bus safety, color mixing experiments using the scientific process. Help!! Our class is in need of a few items! Prize box goodies-gently used McDonalds toys, small cars...you know, small stuff a 5 year old might like. Please, no whistles or balls!! Glad food storage bags: Our math kits come with some great manipulatives that need a home. We need quart size freezer bags with the zipper (not the pinch closed type) **I got several field trip forms back but without the $4.00. If you sent the form but no money please send it in an envelope or baggie labeled with your child's name and "field trip" written on it. **Book Orders are due Friday, September 5th. Please include payment with the order. |
