Enslavement

By Cabman

Like chilled iced tea on a hot summer's 'noon,

Your eyes quench my thirst as I dizzy and swoon.

A glimpse or a glance, a glance or a gaze,

A look-stare-longing puts my mind in a craze.

My thoughts entranced; my attention enraptured;

Slavery my good fortune, my heart has been captured.

Deep crystal-green oceans swallow me whole,

Fulfilling my desires; taking hold of my soul.

Where can I turn? And what can I do?

When I close my eyes, all I see is you.
