In Greece, It is the time of the gods. The Centaur kingdom is on the verge of war with the Lapiths. Countless raids and village attacks have enraged the centaur king, Cronosis. Tarus Cementus is getting crowned general of the centaur army.

"Tarus! Come forward." Cronosis called. The crowd cheered. Tarus trotted forward.

"In effect of the up coming war"Cronosis said to the crowd. "I crown Tarus general of our army," The crowd roared.

"Tarus, Kneel" Cronosis commanded. Tarus kneeled.

"By the power invested in my I crown you, Tarus Cementus general of our army. The crowd roared again. Then, Tarus stepped down off the Stage.

"Wow, we're actually going to war with the Lapiths." Tarus thought. "I'm glad. Finally we'll get to show the Lapith to stay off our lands."

As Tarus was walking back to his hut everyone greeted him.

"Morning, General." A kindly peasant said.

"Greetings, Tarus sir" a guard on his daily rounds said to him. Tarus was finally recognized in the civilization. When he arrived at his hut what he saw surprised him, Peasants were loading his belongings onto a Carriage.

"What's going on here?" Tarus Asked.

"Oh, General." A guard said, "You surprised me. We're loading your things to move to your new room in the castle.

"huh." Tarus said.

Tarus walked to his new room and told a guard to send word to Geoff, his best friend to come to his room. As Tarus was waiting for Geoff to come a guard came into his room

"Weapons, made by the finest sliver sir." He said.

"Great, thank you" Tarus said and he put them in a closet.

"For safekeeping" he said to himself.

Then, when the guard left, Geoff came in.

"So," Geoff said "They moved you out of your hut."

"Yep"

"Cool"

"General, huh?"Geoff commented. "Huh, I'm only Lieutenant."

"Hey!, let me show you my new weapons. Just got here"Tarus asked.

"Okay". Geoff agreed stubbornly.

Tarus showed Geoff his new Sword, Shield, Bow, Quiver, and his new helmet.

"Look, Geoff, this one fits my horns"Tarus said

"You and your horns."

"Well..., I'm sort of like Orion in a way." Tarus Commented.

"We're both different, I'm the only Centaur ever to have horns, and Orion was different because he was the only one in the whole kingdom who had enough courage to take on Leo."

"He's your Idol isn't he, Orion?" Geoff asked

"Yep." Tarus replied.

Suddenly, a castle guard burst through the door.

"Morgana Village, It's been destroyed!" He said

Tarus and Geoff sprinted to Morgana Village. When they got there the Village was in ruins and burning. The village was tattered as if it were a giant's broken toy.

There were centaurs lying on the ground, dead and burning. Some of the Medical experts were looking for survivors but they could not go into the enormous flame of death. Tarus could tell that it was the Lapiths by the way the other centaurs were killed. Two slashes across the chest in the form of an X, and a spear in the middle of the X.

"This is the way the Lapiths kill when they surprise their enemy." Tarus Thought, "They were caught by surprise? Well, in the final battle they won't surprise me."

The Next day, Tarus and Geoff were practicing swordsmanship against each other.

"You're getting better Geoff." Tarus Commented.

"Thanks" Geoff replied Boastfully. "I've been practicing with some of the guards."

Then, Tarus thrust his sword and knocked Geoff's sword onto the ground. Tarus smirked

"But, I'm still a little bit better."

Then, The horns played signaling an attack was coming.

"THERE HERE?!" Geoff asked.

"I guess so." Tarus replied.

"Darn it. We're not ready. I hope there not too close." Tarus thought.

Tarus and Geoff ran to the castle courtyard. The King, Queen, and Prince were waiting for the soldiers to arrive.

"Hello, Tarus. Hello, Geoff" Cronosis said

They both bowed.

"Hello, Your Majesty" They both said.

"Rise" He instructed. They rose

"I guess you both figured out that the Lapiths are

coming." Cronosis said. "They will arrive in one hour"

"ONE HOUR?!" Tarus asked, very surprised.

"Yes, I'm afraid they will be." Cronosis said

Half an hour later, the army was gathered up. Tarus was standing by the king. The army was ready for battle.

"Tarus," Cronosis said, "If I don't survive this, promise me to protect, Juno, my son"

"I promise" Tarus Promised

Tarus and Cronosis Turned around ant looked at the approaching Lapith army.

"CHARGE!" Cronosis Yelled.

The army Charged like a stampede of bulls. Both armies met with brutal force.

"YAHHHHHHHHHH!" Tarus yelled.

Tarus and Geoff were fighting back-to-back.

They were doing well. Neither of them had been touched by the enemy. But then, Tarus heard it. That Deadly sound.

"ARROWS!" Tarus yelled.

Every centaur raised his shield. Then, they put them down.

"Tarus..."Geoff moaned

"Geoff!" Tarus said.

Geoff had been hit in the left lung. Tarus knew it was Fatal. Then, Geoff died. Tarus knew that there was no time to mourn. He charged back into battle. He was angry, very angry. Then, he turned around. He saw Juno on the ground. He was knocked out. Beside him was Hado, the Prince of the Lapiths. He was about to kill him!

"NO" Tarus yelled

Then, he yelled and intervined.

"You…can't……kill him." Tarus grunted

"Why……not?"Hado asked sarcasticly.

Then Tarus thrust his soard up and unarmed Hado, Next,He cut him in half. He smirked

But then, He heard the king of the Lapiths

voice. He was standing behind ten archers who were going to fire two arrows at the same time.

"Good by, Cronosis." Orin, king of the Lapiths said.

Cronosis was on the ground, clutching his left leg.

"NOOOOOO!" Tarus yelled

"FIRE!" Orin Commanded.

The archers released the arrows. Tarus jumped in front of the twenty arrows. They struck him like bullets. In that instant, Tarus threw his sword at Orin, It struck him in the head. He died. Tarus landed on the ground by Cronosis.

"I tried to protect you, Sir Cronosis." Tarus said "But I failed"

"No, you did well, Tarus" Cronosis said.

Then the string of life in Tarus was cut. When Hades saw this is softened his heart.

"He killed himself to save someone else. The courage it takes to do that....." Hades Said to himself.

Then he rose up from the Underworld and scared away all the Lapiths. Next, Zeus Brought Tarus up before all the gods.

"TARUS." He Boomed, "YOU HAVE SHOWN THE COURAGE FAR PAST ANY MORTAL. THEREFORE YOU MUST BE REMEMBERED BY ALL."

Suddenly, Zeus grabbed one of his magic lighting bolts and moved some stars into the position of a centaur.

"THERE, YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED".

From then on, Tarus lived with the gods, and watched over the King and the Queen.
