Course Information:
Reading 6:  The sixth grade reading program utilizes a variety of fiction and non-fiction reading materials such as novels, short stories, poetry, and research materials.  Skills modeled for mastery include reading fluency, vocabulary development, literary terms,  figurative language, and reading strategies to help students become competent and confident readers in a variety of genres.

Writing 6: The English 6 program is designed as an integrated approach to the study of the English language.  We empower students to respond to literature and non-fiction material thoroughly, thoughtfully and extensively.   Process oriented writing is modeled, along with editing and grammar instruction to provide a well-rounded English curriculum. To ensure success on the major year-long portfolio project, students are given extensive keyboarding training.

Teacher Information: My classroom is being used for an elective course during my conference period.  For quicker response please e-mail me early in the day with your questions or concerns.
