Course Information: 8th grade social studies is the study of American History from its European origins, beginning with the English settlement of Jamestown in 1607, and continuing through the end of the post-Civil War Reconstruction in 1877.
Teacher Information: A lifelong learner, I've been teaching 8th graders American History for 23 years. I enjoy reading, travel, gardening, and middle schoolers! My favorite authors are Chris Bohjalian and Scott Turow, and I collect penguins and "I Love Lucy" memorabilia.
Education: That which discloses to the wise
and disquises from the foolish
their lack of understanding.--Ambrose Bierce
